Russian TULA 308????
 

Howdy folks, Had a little time to take a gun road trip and discovered the local BIG gun shop had Russian TULA 308s bolt action on sale for 250 bucks with extra 10 mag. side scope mount /9x39 scope/ match grade barrel and bedded receiver uh huh...anyhoo...
Looked like a good fit and finish.
Anyone here have info on perfomance/reliabilty of this brand???

Also, I talked it up with the sales guy and he confirmed what I've read about the huge increase in gun sales...yesterday a customer came in and plucked down 4k for the last 3 AR15s and what little bit of 223 was left.
There were no SKSs, No ARs, No AKs, this store normally had walls of these weapons on display...looks like some buckeyes are getting "anxious".

If it's $250 for a TOZ-122, that's a great price. Gunbroker prices seem to be running about $350 or thereabouts.

Tula is (used to be?) one of the main Soviet arsenals, and has been around for many many years. See this link for a review of the TOZ-122:

It sounds like the rifle isn't a finely machined piece of art, but it works.

Cruff, I appreciate your input to my new thread, and it looks like TULA has been around for a while.
This weapon is going quick..time to move.
